The Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force executed 21 search warrants Monday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into organized criminal activity and money laundering associated with illegal game room operations.

According to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, the coordinated enforcement action began around 9:30 a.m. on June 1, 2026. The operation was conducted to disrupt and dismantle an illegal gambling enterprise operating within the City of La Marque and surrounding areas.

Seven search warrants were executed at game room locations in La Marque and Alvin.

Two related search warrants were executed in Fort Bend County at a residence associated with the owner and operator of one of the game rooms and a warehouse believed to be utilized for the storage and distribution of illegal gambling machines.

The investigation remains ongoing.

The Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force worked with six other agencies during the operation.
