COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The owner of a spa shut down in Powell appeared in court Tuesday.

Yixiang He appeared virtually in Delaware County Court. She's charged with money laundering and promoting prostitution.

An interpreter was used, and He did not speak any English. The defense attorney mentioned that she would not be able to read court documents.

She was expressionless the entire arraignment and did not speak except when she needed to answer a question from the magistrate.

No details were revealed about the case during the hearing.

The defense attorney said He has no prior criminal history and has been in the Columbus area for about two years.

The magistrate set her bond at $300,000. She must be on house arrest and GPS monitoring. The magistrate also said she must surrender any and all passports.
