The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested the three founders of Gameskraft in connection with an alleged money laundering case linked to the company’s online gaming operations, according to a CNBC-TV18 report citing official sources.

The arrested co-founders include Deepak Singh, Prithvi Raj Singh, and Vikas Taneja. The action has reportedly been taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

As per the CNBC-TV18 report, the ED conducted searches across multiple locations in Delhi-NCR and Karnataka as part of an ongoing probe into alleged financial irregularities tied to the company’s real-money gaming platforms.

The investigation is linked to allegations of cheating and unlawful gains through online gaming applications operated by Gameskraft, including RummyCulture and RummyTime. Reports further stated that the agency had earlier frozen around Rs 18.57 crore in escrow accounts connected to the case.

Founded in 2017, Gameskraft operates skill-based gaming platforms focused on rummy and other casual games. The Bengaluru-based company has also been part of the larger debate around taxation and regulation of online gaming companies in India.

The arrests come at a time when the online gaming sector is facing increasing regulatory scrutiny from enforcement and tax authorities. Over the past two years, several gaming and betting-related platforms have come under the scanner over alleged violations involving money laundering, GST payments, and foreign exchange norms.

The company has not issued any detailed public statement on the arrests at the time of publishing this story.
